Nibertex, a nanofiber technology startup based in Singapore, announced the closing of a pre-series A funding round. The funding round included participation from Foxmont Capital Partners and ADB Ventures, the impact investment arm of the Asian Development Bank, and others in the region.

The funding will be used to ramp up production of Nibertex’s PFAS-free electro-spun polyurethane at its two manufacturing plants in the Philippines, enabling Nibertex to meet growing demand from the consumer textiles market while positioning itself for expansion into adjacent sectors such as protective textiles, automotive ventilation, health care and personal protective equipment.

Nibertex has developed waterproof PFAS-free electro-spun polyurethane (ePU) membranes for textiles. The company has two manufacturing plants in the Philippines and will use the funding to increase production capacity at its two plants.

“This pre-Series A funding is a testament to the trust our investors place in our technology and the potential of our market,” says Jaemin Park, co-founder of Nibertex. “The demand for sustainable, high-performance materials has never been higher, and this investment allows us to accelerate production and meet the growing needs of our clients across multiple industries.”

Nibertex plans to have a Series A funding round later this year.
